Official Player Safety Partner of Hockey Australia

HITIQ has partnered with Hockey Australia in an exclusive three-year agreement, helping bring PROTEQT into the hands of more players, families and clubs across the country. The partnership spans the full hockey pathway — from grassroots participation through to elite high-performance programs.

This is an important step forward for player safety in Australian sport. Through the partnership, PROTEQT will be integrated across Hockey Australia’s network, creating broader access to smart mouthguard technology designed to support concussion management and head impact awareness. Hockey Australia’s national teams, the Hockeyroos and Kookaburras, will also adopt PROTEQT across training and competition.

For players, parents and coaches, this means better access to tools that can support more informed decisions around head impacts and player welfare. For clubs and associations, it reinforces the growing importance of bringing practical, evidence-based safety technology into everyday sport — not just at the elite level.

The agreement provides access to more than 105,000 registered hockey participants, including around 92,000 players aged 12 and over. More importantly, it shows that smart player safety technology is becoming part of the mainstream conversation in community sport.
