HITIQ Partners with Sports Buddy to Strengthen Concussion Management in Community Sport

HITIQ is pleased to announce a partnership with Sports Buddy, supporting the integration of HITIQ’s head-impact monitoring technology into Sports Buddy’s HURT injury-management platform. The partnership is designed to connect objective head-impact data with structured injury-management workflows, helping community sporting organisations improve incident documentation, compliance processes and player recovery tracking. Development has been underway over recent months, with both parties working toward availability ahead of the 2026 season.

Once complete, the integration is expected to enable HITIQ impact events to flow directly into the HURT platform, linking head-impact data with incident reporting, concussion protocols and follow-up workflows. This is intended to provide clubs with a clearer and more practical pathway for action when head impacts occur, while supporting stronger operational consistency and accountability in community sport. For players and families, the partnership is expected to reduce uncertainty by connecting impact data directly to documented incidents, care pathways and next-step protocols.

HITIQ Chairman Earl Eddings said the partnership represents an important step forward in advancing player safety across grassroots sport. “Integrating HITIQ’s impact-monitoring technology with HURT marks an important step forward for community sport. Connecting objective head-impact data to a structured injury-management workflow strengthens player safety and provides greater clarity around appropriate care pathways for families. This partnership reflects our commitment to advancing concussion management at every level of sport.”

Kim Vespa, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Sports Buddy, said the collaboration is focused on helping clubs embed concussion protocols into day-to-day operations. “Policies and guidelines around concussion are clear — embedding them into everyday club operations is where it matters most. HURT was built to close that gap. By connecting HITIQ’s impact data into our structured workflows, we’re strengthening how community sport turns information into accountable action.” HITIQ believes the partnership further supports the Company’s broader strategy to expand the practical application of its impact-monitoring technology across the sporting ecosystem, helping deliver a safer, smarter and more connected future for community sport.
