HITIQ Secures Victorian Government Funding Support to Expand Brain Health Technology Operations
HITIQ Limited has executed a non-dilutive grant agreement with the Victorian Government, supporting the company’s continued expansion of advanced manufacturing, research and development, and global commercial growth from its Victorian headquarters.
HITIQ Limited has announced the formal execution of a Grant Agreement with the Victorian Government, marking an important step in the company’s strategy to scale its brain health technology platform from Victoria.
The agreement provides non-dilutive funding support for HITIQ’s continued investment in its headquarters, manufacturing capability and research and development operations. Under the agreement, HITIQ has committed to a minimum project cost of $4.9 million, with the grant value falling within a disclosed range of $250,000 to $1.5 million, subject to confidentiality requirements.
The funding is designed to support HITIQ’s broader growth strategy, including the expansion of advanced manufacturing capability in Victoria, investment in manufacturing equipment and tooling, and the scaling of integrated charger and data transfer systems used across the company’s technology ecosystem.
It also supports further investment in HITIQ’s software and hardware development capability, strengthening the company’s ability to continue developing concussion management and athlete safety solutions for sport, clinical and research markets.
Importantly, the agreement reinforces Victoria as HITIQ’s operational headquarters and R&D centre, while also supporting future employment growth and the company’s continued local and international expansion.
HITIQ Chairman Earl Eddings said the funding represented an important endorsement of the company’s technology platform, advanced manufacturing capability and long-term growth strategy.
“This funding support from the Victorian Government is an important endorsement of HITIQ’s technology platform, advanced manufacturing capability and long-term growth strategy,” Mr Eddings said.
“Importantly, this non-dilutive funding supports our continued investment in Victoria across manufacturing, research and development, product innovation and employment growth as we continue expanding globally.”
The grant agreement runs until the completion of measurable obligations or expiry on 31 July 2031. Funding is linked to certain milestones, with the Victorian Government able to seek refunds in some cases if obligations are not met.
HITIQ’s flagship PROTEQT™ solution, co-developed with Shock Doctor, combines an instrumented mouthguard with an analytics platform to help deliver data-driven concussion management and athlete safety insights.
The agreement provides further support for HITIQ’s ambition to build a globally relevant brain health technology company from Victoria, combining local manufacturing capability, research expertise and commercial expansion into growing international markets.
