HITIQ Awarded Prestigious Australian Sports Commission Grant
HITIQ Limited (ASX: HIQ) (HITIQ or the Company) is pleased to announce it has been awarded a grant under “The Park”, the Australian Sports Commission’s (ASC) new competitive innovation programme supporting cutting-edge sports technology development. Selected in the Brain Performance Innovation category, HITIQ’s PROTEQT™️ platform has been recognised for its capabilities in head impact detection, concussion management and athlete brain health monitoring. The grant provides funding and access to ASC facilities, research expertise and elite athlete populations, enabling deployment of PROTEQT™️ technology into Australian Olympic and Paralympic combat sports and other high-performance environments, and further validating HITIQ’s sensor technology and data analytics capabilities. This award also confirms brain health performance as a strategic technology priority area for the ASC and supports PROTEQT™️’s pathway to adoption across National Sporting Organisations and community sport.
Through The Park, HITIQ will undertake a structured product validation and development programme across diverse athlete populations, generating comprehensive head impact datasets from new and elite training environments. These activities are expected to underpin the advancement of evidence-based concussion management and brain health protocols, positioning HITIQ to contribute to national athlete safety standards and policy development across Australian sport. The ASC’s rigorous selection process – assessing technology readiness, innovation potential, team capability and strategic fit with national sporting priorities – provides significant market credibility for HITIQ and PROTEQT™️, establishing clear pathways into National Sporting Organisations, Olympic and Paralympic sports, state sporting institutes and community sporting bodies seeking validated, data-driven brain health solutions.
