Sportscover to integrate PROTEQT into Sports Insurance offer

HITIQ Limited (ASX: HIQ) has signed a world-first, category-exclusive partnership with Sportscover to integrate PROTEQT™ into Sportscover’s Sports Insurance offering, making Sportscover HITIQ’s Preferred Insurance Partner in the Sports Insurance category. The partnership introduces a claims-triggered welfare feature: when a concussion claim is lodged and confirmed under a Sportscover policy, Sportscover will fund a PROTEQT™ unit for the insured member, which HITIQ will fulfil directly via a dedicated Sportscover-branded digital channel.

The collaboration will commence through Hockey Australia channels, with a pathway to expand across Sportscover’s broader sports insurance portfolio over time. The parties will also undertake a Year-1 data collaboration using de-identified, aggregated head-impact insights (by sport, age and gender) to support underwriting and product development, with management noting the model is designed to improve the concussion claims journey, strengthen safer return-to-play pathways, and extend professional-grade concussion management support into community sport.
